Video Recorders ("Dash Cams") provide high-resolution road traffic video recording and intelligent parking monitoring based on G-sensor technology.
In heavy traffic or when leaving a car in a public parking lot, indisputable video evidence is a fundamental tool for protecting the driver's interests in the event of incidents. Modern car video recorders are designed to continuously record the surrounding environment even in extreme light conditions, using WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) and HDR (High Dynamic Range) sensor technologies capable of generating a clear image from Full HD up to 4K resolution. The main engineering heart of the equipment is the built-in 3-axis G-sensor (accelerometer), which automatically detects sharp braking or impact, immediately locking the specific video file against overwriting, thus preserving it as secure evidence in the MicroSD memory. Using wide-angle optics (from 140° to 170°), the camera's glass lenses capture not only the cars in front but also adjacent lanes and pedestrian crossings. In "Parking Mode", the device goes into standby, activating the recording only when physical movement or vibration is detected around the vehicle.
Optics quality and recording specifications:
- WDR/HDR light correction: The processor balances frames with high contrast differences in real-time, preventing image "burnout" against the sun or license plate reflections at night.
- Loop recording: The optimized memory management system automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked files, ensuring that the memory card is never full.
- G-sensor locking: The built-in accelerometer detects a physical impact (collision) and the firmware marks this video fragment as "protected", preventing data loss.
- Reliable capacitor power: Many models use supercapacitors instead of lithium batteries, guaranteeing stable camera operation in scorching summer interiors or extreme cold.
A precisely calibrated and correctly installed windshield recorder significantly increases the driver's confidence and provides peace of mind on the road. If it is necessary to check the recorder's footage at night or explore the surroundings in the forest without glare, specialized green light flashlights will be an excellent tool.
